What Lynn has achieved so far:
  • Targeting TV and radio to raise awareness of this cruel, common cancer. Latest appearances have included GMTV, BBc News, Cash in the Celebrity Attic, Take It or Leave It (quiz where Lynn and husband John Stapleton won £25,000 for the charity's work).
  • Major awareness campaign with HRH Prince Charles - he helped us to get millions of pounds worth of free airtime for bowel cancer on TV news and in national newspapers
  • Launch of new symptoms’ advice by the Minister of Health, who described it as 'brilliant' and a million leaflets packed in Lynn’s home and sent to every GP practice in the country
  • Launch of our Symptoms ''Spotline'', especially for people with reading difficulties and literacy challenges - hugely successful, with just two slots on GMTV, it received 156,000 attempted calls on its first day! Our 24-hour recorded symptoms hotline is 0870 24 24 870 (national not premium rates)
  • Strut Your Strip - with ITV’s Britain on the Move, our campaign to get men fit, walking miles round their favourite football pitch. Our target - football supporters with the challenge walking miles - 4 laps around the pitch equals a mile. Thanks to all the clubs who joined in - and those who still organise healthy walks round their pitches
